I, Ayushi Nigam, born and brought up in the city of Bhopal belonging to a very normal, middle class family, was like any normal teenager some years ago in my life. However, little did I know that it was my ambitions that got the best me. I always desired to have a successful life enough so that I would be in a position to be equipped to stand up for myself and to be there for my family. Coming to law school too was a step in that direction.
I completed my undergrad law degree of B.Com.LL.B.(Hons.) from Institute of Law, Nirma University, which today stands amongst the best private law schools in the country. The learning I received during my college time was not limited to classroom lectures but was also influenced by the regular and continuous internships from The Human Rights Commission to the District Courts, the High Court and the Supreme Court. Apart from these, I have spent considerable amount of time interning with some of the best law firms of the country. These experiences have shaped me into a capable individual and prepared me to face challenges pertaining to my profession.
Being a proactive person since childhood, another important aspect of my college life was my involvement in the various activities and events happening in and around the University which included co and extra-curricular things. Ranging from Moot Courts to presentations to events like treasure hunts, cultural programs and conferences I have been both, the participant and the organizer for these.
My role in Consultadd is of an in house Legal Counsel and Immigration Specialist. My job comprises of drafting agreements and MOUs, preparing H-1B Petitions for our Beneficiaries/consultants and supporting it with all the requisite evidence. Additionally, I also handle the Green Card Process and the B1 Visa procedure for our employees.
I am an extrovert by nature, a complete people person. I have, what some people may call, an unusual sense of humor so it is very much a possibility that many people find some of my comments and sarcasm to be hurtful but a closer look would reveal the irony and humor in it. Talking about personal life, I spend majority of my time dedicated to characters and stories not belonging to books per se but to the small screen of the laptop. I have always been fond of binge watching episodes and have till date seen so many that I might consider being a critic as my alternate career option (pun intended).
